EditShare's Flow products are all about adding efficiency and increasing productivity in your workflow, thanks to the powerful Flow database that allows you to track your media assets throughout the production process from ingest all the way through to archiving on Ark Disk or Tape.

Flow Ingest

With Flow Ingest, you can capture multiple channels of SDI/HD-SDI simultaneously and encode each channel in up to three codecs in realtime, including low-resolution proxies. Flow Ingest captures directly to EditShare storage and supports Avid, QuickTime and AVI codecs, including DNxHD, XDCAM-HD and AVC-intra. All Flow Ingest systems include Edit While Capture, which allows you to begin editing seconds after ingest begins, Universal Media File technology, which allows Avid and QuickTime-compatible NLEs to use the exact same media files, and Bandwidth-Controlled File-Based Ingest, which ensures your network and storage won't get overwhelmed if many users are transferring clips from P2 or XDCAM cards at the same time.

The Flow Scan feature lets you index into the database any media files on your EditShare storage that were not captured through Flow; automatically generating a low-resolution proxy for fast media access.

Flow Browse

With Flow Browse, you can monitor, log and create subclips during or after ingest, manage file-based transfers from XDCAM and P2 sources, search through the media on your EditShare storage -- including offline archived clips located on Ark Tape and Ark Disk systems. – Flow Browse offers tremendous production capabilities for organizing media before you hit the edit bay. You can playback proxy files, create bins and sequences, organize and pre-edit your material, restore high-resolution clips from Ark, and drag and drop into virtually any NLE.

Flow Logger

Flow Logger is a versatile application for logging live feeds or existing media designed for sports and reality productions and allows fast entry of pre-defined metadata through customizable fields and templates.

Projects, Bins and Sequences

Flow offers tremendous production capabilities without the need to tie up an edit suite. Organize media in bins or create sequences from any workstation before you even reach your NLE.

Avid and FCP Interchange

EditShare's Universal Media File technology allows Avid and FCP editors to share the exact same media files and when combined with Automatic Duck, even exchange sequences between the two applications without any transcoding or re-linking.

Asset Tracking and File Retrieval

Flow Browse tracks your media assets across all EditShare systems, ensuring that metadata stays intact and enabling you to quickly retrieve, produce, manage, and distribute media.
